Las Vegas Petroleum is seeking an experienced Director of Construction & Site Development.
Must have commercial experience in the restaurant, convenience store and/or gas stations. Not looking for anyone with residential background.
Position Summary:
The Director of Construction and Site Development will oversee all phases of site project buildouts for travel centers. This role requires leadership, organizational expertise, and the ability to manage complex projects. The ideal candidate will lead a team of four project managers, collaborate with architects, vendors, and internal departments, and ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full lifecycle of site construction projects, from initial planning to final handover.
- Manage and mentor a team of four project managers, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and accountability.
- Act as the liaison between architects, vendors, contractors, and internal departments to streamline project delivery.
- Review, verify, and coordinate updates to blueprints and designs with architects and engineering teams.
- Conduct vetting and feasibility analysis for new and ongoing projects to mitigate risks and align with business goals.
- Ensure all projects adhere to budget constraints, quality standards, and specified timelines.
- Monitor job sites through regular visits, ensuring compliance with safety, building codes, and project specifications.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including vendors, contractors, and staff.
- Provide regular progress reports to senior leadership, offering solutions to overcome challenges.
- Implement best practices for cost management, resource allocation, and project efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- 7-10 years of experience in construction project management, including multi-site development.
- Previous experience in a director-level or leadership role overseeing teams and large-scale projects.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, construction plans, and project management software.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, control costs, and adhere to project timelines.
- Familiarity with safety regulations, building codes, and permitting processes.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
